Youth Horsemanship
At MTHW, we’re proud to offer a thriving Youth Horsemanship Program designed to inspire the next generation of horsemen and horsewomen.

We start ’em young! From tiny tots taking their very first ride to experienced youth riders advancing their skills, we offer a variety of lesson opportunities tailored to every age and experience level.

Our gentle, well-trained horses and knowledgeable instructors create a safe, encouraging environment where young riders can build confidence, responsibility, and a genuine passion for horsemanship.

At Montana Horse Works, our lessons go far beyond riding. We focus on helping students develop a deeper understanding of horse behavior, communication, and partnership while learning proper riding techniques in both Western and English disciplines.

By combining traditional horsemanship values with modern, evidence-based teaching practices, we create a well-rounded experience that supports both horse and rider at every stage of their journey.
More than just lessons — we’re building confident riders, strong character, and lifelong connections with horses.

Our service include 30 & 45 Mini Lessons (2-6 Years), 1hr, 1.5hr, 2hr Private and Semi Private.

Let's Ride!
New here? Everyone starts with private lessons at our barn. This one-on-one time enables us to get to know each other's style, experience, and level of comfort. After that, you can continue to build skills with private horsemanship lessons or move to a group class. We offer both English and Western group classes. Your instructor will help you select the right group class.
