​POLICIES, FEES, NO SHOW, TRANSFERS, REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS, Refusals & Restrictions

These policies and restrictions are for the safety of you and those around you. Violating any of the following may result in the immediate loss of riding privileges.

​

Safety Helmet Policy-

Riders under eighteen are required to wear a safety helmet for the entire duration they are mounted. Optional for riders eighteen or older. Riders who choose to have a safety helmet must wear it for the entire duration they are mounted.

 

Credit Card Fee - 3.5% 

 

NO SHOW - 100% of the scheduled value.

Late clients will not receive any discounts or additional time.

TRANSFERS-

Our packages, deposits, and gift certificates cannot be combined with other discounted offers BUT ARE transferable.

 

REFUNDS-

We do not offer ANY CASH refunds for our Services, Classes, Packages, Gift Certificates, Boarding or online deals.

NO REFUNDs-

* Will be given for late arrivals or no-shows, who will be barred from participation. 

* Will be given to guests who decline or are declined by staff to ride for any other reason, including but not limited to: being unable or unwilling to mount their own horse from the ground, follow basic instructions, or ride due to fear or discomfort.

TRAIL RIDE REFUNDS -

No refund will be given for guests who are barred from participation due to being outside the age, height, and weight requirements for the ride:

• Riders must be under 265 lbs (weight verified prior to ride).

• Riders must be 10 years or older.​

• At least 4' tall

• Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellations for Services & Classes

 

SERVICES / Horsemanship Lessons / Mini Lesson / Semi Private / Family Vacationers

24  hour notice for MOST services. Deposits, less 25%, may be refunded back to card OR can be moved to a different day/time within a year of original booking.

 

CLASSES / Groups -

Trail Rides, Family Vacationer, Camps, Clinics

 

Cancelations must have 2-week prior notice; otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited. 

 

***2 week prior to appointment, deposits, less 25%, may be refunded back to card OR can be moved to a different day/time within a year of original booking IF service is offered.​​

​

Credits / Gift Cards / Packages-

Must be utilized within one year of purchase date.

 

REFUSAL OF CLASS OR SERVICE -

*If at time of service the participant(s) choose to decline service due to an ailment or sickness deposits will not be refunded payment in full is required. 

* If participant(s) choose to quit or refuse activity early payment in full is required.

Restrictions

The following are unable to ride with MONTANA HORSE WORKS 

• ( TRAIL RIDE ONLY) Riders unable to mount from the ground unaided 

• Riders unable to maintain control of their horse 

• Riders who are unable to understand or follow staff instructions

• Riders with fear of horses and/or heights

• Riders who veer off the trail

• Riders who ride faster than a walk

• Riders who harass wildlife or damage/take any element of the surrounding environment

The following are NOT allowed on any ride with MONTANA HORSE WORKS

​

• “Double” riding or lap children

• Smoking, vaping, and/or consumption of alcohol or drugs

• Firearms & bear spray

• Video cameras, DSLR or polaroid cameras, binoculars, or selfie sticks while mounted

• Backpacks, purses, fanny packs, or anything hanging from your body. Nothing may be looped, strapped, or draped around you. Saddle bags are provided

• Shorts or Sandals. Shoes must fully enclose your toes and heel
